The system identifies locomotive numbers, wagon IDs, container codes and associated data in real time with high precision. It feeds real-time data of locomotives, wagons and containers as well as train consist information upon inbound/outbound of classification yards into the TMIS, serving as core basic data source for TMIS. It plays a vital role in lifting the utilization rate of rolling stock and containers and advancing the modernization of railway transportation management.
By decoding wagon IDs, the system retrieves wagon curb weight data. Combined with gross weight measured via track scales as required by railway logistics operators, it accomplishes fully automatic collection of cargo weight and attribute data.
Fuwei’s system consists of five core components: electronic tags, wheel sensors, trackside antennas, wagon identification readers and industrial control computers.
The tag adopts 20K/40K balanced signal encoding for binary “0/1” compression to shorten code length, and applies six-digit ASCII code for data transmission in compliance with the Ministry of Railways Specification: Technical Specifications for Automatic Locomotive & Rolling Stock Identification Equipment.
Essentially a proximity switch mounted on upstream track before the identification zone to detect passing rail vehicles.
RF microwave transceiver hardware fixed along railway tracks for radio signal transmission and reception.
Housed inside control cabinets, the reader integrates RF module, intelligent analysis module and communication module. It forwards tag data to external systems via multiple standard interfaces to enable cross-platform data sharing.
Equipped with high-spec industrial control computers deployed at monitoring stations, the center supports CPS control for peripheral meters, receives, archives and analyzes all captured wagon data, and delivers seamless data interconnection and sharing between the identification system and third-party business systems.
